Walking into the bright and airy room, it’s filled with different patterns of earthenware, plain pottery and painted glazed pottery, large or small.

Turxun Roustamu, 68 years, is the seventh generation inheriting the "molded clay pottery firing technique". He started firing clay pottery at the age of 17 and now it’s been over 50 years.

Earthen pottery is a very ancient traditional hand-made pottery technique. From his daughter Ayimsha Guli, I learned that the molding method of earthen pottery firing has a history of more than 2,000 years.

It emerged with the start of Silk Road, and continued to develop and innovate till nowadays.

It is a pity that due to the lack of knowledge of their language, I was not able to have a better communication to gain better understandings with Tursun Rostamu. 

But the craftsman's excellence and art permeates every aspect of life, which gives it rebirth with the power of aesthetics and art。
